Karang Anyar Fire Victims Evacuated

As many as 270 buildings on Jalan Karang Anyar B2, Karang Anyar Urban Village, Sawah Besar Sub District, Central Jakarta were burned by fire on Saturday (12/6) at daybreak. As a result, thousands people were evacuated. Fortunately there is no casualties in this incident.

Henri Perez Sitorus, Sawah Besar Sub District Head, said at least, 270 household (KK) or 1,350 citizens in RW 006 as RT 002, 003, 009, RW 006 must live in refugee camp by force.

Tanah Sereal Fire Victims Received Aid

Now, the victims are evacuated to some area such as Karang Anyar Urban Village office, Sasana Krida Karang Taruna (SKKT) building Karang Anyar, Al Musyawarah Mosque, and Karang Anyar Urban Village Building Hall.

"We continue to coordinate with Social Department and BPBD (Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency), now we just prepare public kitchen. Breakfast and lunch will be given by Social Department, and Dinner by PMI," he said.

The fire can be extinguished at 3 AM. As many as 20 Central Jakarta Fire and Disaster Management fire trucks were deployed to the location.
